Miami Events February 2014: Lil Jon, born Jonathan Smith, is most notably known for his role in bringing bass-heavy “crunk” hip-hop to the forefront of the music industry in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. As part of Lil’ Jon & The East Side Boyz, Lil’ Jon was one hell of a hype man. It’s actually hard to not get energized when listening to tracks like Who You Wit, Put Yo Hood Up and Bia, Bia! He has the raw talent, and voice, to make you get out of your seat.

It’s that same voice and talent that has made Lil’ Jon the perfect emcee and hype man for dance music and is backed up by his appearance with his holiness himself, Steve Aoki, at Ultra Music Festival in 2012 (which you can get a glimpse of HERE). But Lil’ Jon’s abilities transcend hip-hop and rap; he’s a producer, and a damn good one at that. He has produced tracks for the Ying Yang Twins, Usher, Petey Pablo, former G-Unit member Young Buck and many more. The 43 year old Atlanta native has a close relationship with DJ Steve Aoki, as evidenced by the many tracks he’s done in collaboration with him.

On Friday, March 7th the King of Crunk himself is heading to LIV Miami to play what we’re sure is going to be a crunktastic DJ set. Expect large amounts of champagne being sprayed and Lil’ Jon’s trademark voice in your ear all…night…long! General admission tickets for the ladies are $40 and $60 for the gentlemen, both of which can be purchased by CLICKING HERE. To reserve your VIP table, contact LIV Miami VIP host David Gordon at 561-239-1200. A dress code is enforced for this 21+ event, so dress accordingly.
