About The Cigar
Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Size: Pyramid 6 x 50
The Por Larranaga has a nice, somewhat veiny Connecticut shade wrapper and is semi-soft to the touch. Pre-light aroma consisted primarily of toasted cedar with some grassy and floral notes with some nutty undertones. First quarter of the cigar had wonderful spice and pepper on the palate – making the mouth water as if your palate was screaming “More! More!” First half of the cigar didn’t seem to produce much smoke, but produced a lot of flavor. At about the halfway point the cigar changed from spice and pepper notes to grassy and floral notes with some cedar undertones. Also at the halfway point the cigar really picked up as far as amount of smoke it produced, producing a rich creamy smoke. Had a somewhat uneven burn, but didn’t seem to affect the cigar at all. Nice creamy finish. Nicely constructed cigar that doesn’t kill your wallet.
