Club Space: Born back in 1977 in The Bronx New York, Terrence Thornton, better known as Pusha-T, always had an affinity for music. As a matter of fact, in 1992 after his family relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, he teamed up with his brother Gene “No Malice” Thornton to form the rap duo Clipse. From 1992 until 2009 the brothers released 4 studio albums under their pseudonym. Having had a successful run as a duo in the ever-changing rap game, in 2009 Pusha-T and Malice announced that they were both going to be taking time to work on their solo careers. After their announcement Pusha-T was signed to Kanye Wests’ label GOOD Music and made guest appearances on other labelmates’ records.
After putting a lot of time in the studio, Pusha-T released his first solo album titled “Fear of God” on march 21, 2011. He has since followed up that release with Fear of God II: Let Us Pray, Cruel Summer and My Name Is My Name with plans to release another album titled King Push. Pusha-T and his brother even made an appearance in Justin Timberlake’s 2002 hit “Like I Love You.” Pusha-T’s latest performance was last week (June 12th) at the Manchester, Tennessee festival Bonnaroo (click here to view a video) where Pusha shows he still has what it takes to be a great performer.
Pusha-T will have to conjure up a little more energy because on Saturday, June 21st he will be hosting an event in the main room of Club Space while DJ Radamas and DJ Iron Lyon are on the 1’s and 2’s. Pre-midnight tickets are an astonishingly low $20 and pre-2am tickets are just $30, both of which can be purchased by CLICKING HERE. Club Space will be opening their doors a little earlier than normal, at 10pm rather than the usual 11pm, for this event, so be sure to get there early. This is a 21+ event and goes until 7am.
