Miami Events April 2014: Eat. Sleep. Rave. Repeat. A motto that was rampant throughout Ultra, Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference festivals that enveloped Miami and South Beach just a week ago. To every animated and passionate electronic music lover that attended said events and chanted “Eat. Sleep. Rave. Repeat.” you have Fatboy Slim, in part, to thank for that with his Eat, sleep, rave, repeat track with Riva Starr and Beardyman. Now we’ve covered some amazing DJ’s here at The Local Miami that have played some out of this world shows at any number of Miami’s hot spots, but we haven’t featured someone that is 50 or older, however Tiesto is a close 2nd coming in at 45 years old.
Now we are in no way, shape or form saying that the legend that is Fatboy Slim has been slowed down or “doesn’t have it like he used to” due to his age. Rather it was an observation of ours that we felt garnered attention drawn to it solely because it’s on hell of an achievement – one that we imagine Fatboy Slim is proud of. And it’s not like he’s slowing down either – he has an album coming out titled Bem Brasil. And with a new album coming out, you know he’s going to be out playing gigs…
Fortunately for us, said gigs include a stint at the infamous STORY nightclub in South Beach on Sunday, April 13th. This 21+ event kicks off at 11pm at STORY and goes until 5am.
