Miami Events: In a world dominated by men, it’s nice to see two talented women tearing up the big stages just like the guys. But these two ladies of the decks aren’t just DJ’s (and we’re talking real DJ’s, not the Paris Hilton type), they’re also producers and songwriters. In walks Nervo, an Australian duo comprised of Miriam and Olivia who, ironically, are actually twin sisters. Women are more prevalent in the vocal aspect of house and electronic music, so it’s really a breath of fresh air to see two sisters tearing it up alongside the big boys in the big leagues. We’ve written about a lot of DJ’s here at The Local Miami, but Nervo marks a first for us. How? Well they actually started off as models at the ages of 16 and were once ambassadors at the L’Oreal Fashion Festival – quite different from most of the other talent we write about. Nervo rose to stardom after writing the David Guetta and Kelly Rowland hit “When Love Takes Over in 2009 – ever since it’s been main stage performances at Electric Daisy Carnival, playing on the coveted island of Ibiza and claiming the #16 spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list for 2013 – a jump of 30 spots!

So now that we’ve established these ladies are the real deal and that you should go see them, we’re excited to tell you that Nervo will be performing at the world famous LIV Nightclub on Saturday, January 18th! Nestled in the prestigious Fontainebleau Miami Beach, LIV Nightclub offers everything club-connoisseurs look for – the best talent, the sexiest bar and waitressing staff, the best dancers Miami has to offer and an atmosphere that will electrify you all night. But of course Nervo won’t be alone, resident LIV Nightclub DJ, Mednas, will also be in the building. We kinda like the way ‘Nervo-Mednas’ sounds – we might just have something there. But until we iron out merging the two, catch them at LIV by CLICKING HERE to purchase your tickets. To book your VIP for Nervo at LIV, contact VIP host David Gordon at 561-239-1200. Doors open at 11pm and the party goes until 5am!
