“The parties were bigger. The pace was faster, the shows were broader, the buildings were higher, the morals were looser, and the liquor was cheaper.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby.
NYE 2014 Miami: It’s amazing to think that, not too long ago, the United States was battling the economic disparities of the Great Depression, Jazz music had emerged and was booming, the ‘flapper’ phenomenon had invaded many aspects of women’s lives and literally all of the big industries in the United States were roaring to life. After all, why do you think that era is referred to as the “Roaring Twenties”? It’s an era which many look back upon today and just wish they could zap themselves to. But alas, until time travel is perfected, we have to learn to live with movies, pictures, fashion and music from the 1920’s to be enough.
But what if that wasn’t always true? You know what we’re talking about – those parties that happen once in a blue moon that you always seem to miss the invite to – the one’s that are Roaring Twenties themed. Well guess what? You’re not missing it this time! For NYE 2014 Miami Red Rabbit has put together a New Years Eve party at the Surfcomber Hotel in South Beach that pays homage to the Roaring Twenties!
