Sander Kleinenberg got his start in DJ’ing at the ripe young age of 15 at local bars – that was in 1987. In 1993 he released his first official single, Bombay under the pseudonym Free Frogs. Now we’re just going to skip over cracking jokes about the name Free Frogs, but damn it’s hard. Sander Kleinenberg had mild success throughout the 90’s but once the turn of the century came around, Kleninenberg really started to boom. In 2003 Kleinenberg founded a record label titled Little Mountain Recordings and in 2005 he landed a residency at the famous Crowbar New York nightclub. In an effort to differentiate himself from the DJ’s of the masses, Sander Kleinenberg has incorporated DVJ’ing, or video DJ’ing, into his sets which some believe give them some superiority over traditional DJ sets. But hey, we’re not here to judge. We’re just here to lay out the facts. And the fact of the matter is Sander Kleinenberg is a DJ that history will show as one of the greats.
