Classic comic book lovers know the Yellow Claw as the Marvels comic supervillain that first appeared in 1956. His bio says he is “both a genius in biochemistry and a brilliant scientist and inventor in many fields, in addition to being an expert in mysticism, alchemy and the martial arts.” Now of course we’re not talking about the comic book supervillain, we’re talking about Yellow Claw, a DJ trio from Amsterdam. But much like their comic book counterpart, Yellow Claw are also geniuses, but not in biochemistry. They’re geniuses in mashup electronic music. And rather than being brilliant scientists, they’re brilliant in the way they conflate so many different genres into it’s own genre of music. Yellow Claw consists of Bizzey, Jim Aasgier and Nizzle – reminiscent of the names some Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony members used in the 90’s. Their music video Last Night Ever (to the right) shows exactly what Yellow Claw is all about – partying, insane drops and having one hell of a time.

Currently on a MASSIVE 3 month tour that started back on August 1st in Amsterdam, Yellow Claw’s 4th stop in October is at the one and only BASE at Space Miami put together by Red Rabbit Presents and held in the basement at Club Space.
