“The main aim is to up my game at every possible turn without compromise.” That’s one of Nicky Romero’s more famous quotes and he actually dons it in his bio on his website. It’s a philosophy. A way of life. A way of doing things. But since he’s done it right, it’s what has allowed the young Dutch DJ and producer to be invited to play at venues like LIV Miami. Nicky Romero has already worked with the likes of Rihanna, Madonna, Avicii and Calvin Harris and in 2012 decided to accept a residency at David Guetta’s infamous FMIF nightclub in Pacha Ibiza. Pretty impressive by any standards – more-so for a 24 year old. Nicky Romero is also behind Protocal brand, a record label that pushes relatively unknowns into the spotlight which also has Protocol Radio that already boasts 20 million listeners worldwide. Romero is currently on tour and will be making his way to LIV Miami from the Netherlands.
