Now in it’s 2nd year, Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week promises to deliver up and coming designers, as well as known brands, into the spotlight and help them gain the exposure they need to elevate themselves to the next level. Last years MMIFW included 16 designers that showcased their pieces including Candy Woolley, Charlyn Castro-Rojas, Christian Segui, Liliana Montoya, Maya Swimwear by Carolina Dinardi and Boutique Tutu to name a few and was held at LMNT Miami which is a one stop shop for all forms of artists to turn their vision into reality that is located in the heart of Midtown Miami.
With 2012 in the rear view mirror and 2013 upon us, Maxine Viktor and Philip Stienstra, the two co-founders and creators of MMIFW, have worked tirelessly to ensure that this years MMIFW will be better than the last. With a new venue, new designers and an expanded vision, MMIFW 2013 certainly has all the ingredients for a great fashion show.
Just like last year, this years schedule of events lasts 4 days. It kicks off on Wednesday, April 24th with a private VIP launch party and concludes 3 days later on Saturday, April 27th. The fashion show is broken up into 3 categories – day wear, evening wear and swimwear – with day wear happening on Thursday, April 25th at SET Nightclub, evening wear on Friday, April 26th at The Vault Lounge Miami and swimwear on Saturday, April 27th at SET Nightclub. For each of the nights, not including the VIP launch party, the fashion show doors open at 7pm and conclude at approximately 11pm with an afterparty occurring at the venue the event was held at that night.
