Not many people can say their fathers encouraged them to take a break from studying to be an architect at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York to dedicate MORE time to DJ’ing. Actually that’s almost unheard of. BUT, Roger Sanchez can say that. Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Roger saw much success in his early years of DJ’ing in New York, as did fellow New York DJ’s David Morales and Danny Tenaglia, who thrived in the early years of underground house music in the Big Apple. Fast forward to 2003 and you have Sanchez winning a Grammy for “Best Remixed Recording” for his remix of No Doubt’s 2002 hit “Hella Good”. [CLICK HERE to be thrown back into 2002] Sanchez also has an award winning bi-weekly podcast and in 2002 founded Stealth Records.
And lucky for you Sanchez is bringing Stealth Records to Bamboo Miami Beach on Wednesday, March 20th. Roger is bringing fellow DJ’s Todd Terry, Prok & Fitch, Mike Vale and Baggi Begovic along with him, so the night will aptly be remembered as STEALTH MIAMI. There will also be special performances by award winning recording artist Lisa Pure and more that are to be announced. Early bird tickets are sold out but you can still get general admission tickets by CLICKING HERE. But hurry! It’s bound to sell out!
