Fashion For Charity – sounds simple enough right? Well, as simple as their name may make you perceive them to be, they actually run a quite complex operation. Fashion For Charity is hosting their Fourth Annual Signature Fashion Charity Event that is benefiting the YWCA of Miami-Dade Saturday, January 12th from 8pm – 11pm at the Miami Science Museum on South Miami Avenue.

As you could probably guess by the name, Fashion For Charity is just that – fashion FOR charity. Diane Superville, founder and President of Fashion For Charity has enlisted a top tier team to help her put together a world class fashion show who’s main focus is to raise money for charity; and the charity she has chosen for this years event is the local branch of the YWCA – or the Young Women’s Christian Association – an organization that, as their website says, main goals are focused on “eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all,” something we all should be working towards. The charity already helps over 15,000 women and children in the greater Miami-Dade area each year, but we can’t help but think that with more help and donations from our community that they could help thousands more. It’s precisely that reason we’re sure YWCA was chosen to be the beneficiary of this years event. Of course it also helps that Fashion For Charity and the YWCA have similar goals of providing assistance to women and children in their local communities. Fashion For Charity also raises money for non-profits in need of financial support.

This red carpet event is hosted by a very special guest, Nadia Escobar, who is a regular on Telemundo and many Latin soap operas and is actually a Miami resident – so we know the night will be full of excitement!
