“A strong brow, bedroom eyes, a bump on the nose – these are the features that inspire me. Beauty isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about celebrating your individuality.” – Bobbi Brown.

Bobbi Brown (and no, not Whitney Houston’s Bobbi Brown) is no stranger to fame and fortune. She has a line of cosmetics sold in all corners of the globe – but it didn’t happen that way overnight. Bobbi, like most young girls, loved makeup and spent countless hours experimenting with it and when she was finally able to work, cosmetics was usually the first thing on her list to buy. She went to Boston’s Emerson College and received a B.F.A. in theatrical makeup (no surprise there right?) and ended up moving to the Empire City to pursue her dreams – little did she know that in 1991 she would be debuting some of her lipsticks at Bergdorf Goodman. Four years later, Estée Lauder purchased Bobby Brown Cosmetics. A classic American story of working hard, believing in yourself, working towards a goal and achieving the ultimate success.

Today, Bobbi is a frequent guest on The Today Show and also frequented The Oprah Winfrey Show. You can find her writing in multiple magazines and websites covering beauty, makeup and tips for women. BUT, despite all her success, you can still find her backstage doing what she loves. She is also a philanthropist and has written numerous books, ultimately crossing “A New York Times bestselling author” off her list.

On Thursday, October 25th from noon to 1:30pm, you will have your chance to meet Bobbi Brown at Macy’s in the Dadeland Mall (click HERE for map) as she celebrates the launch of her new book, Pretty Powerful: Beauty Stories To Inspire Confidence – a go-to guide for lasting beauty.
