Erick Morillo at STORY Miami May 1st

     STORY Miami: Although Erick Morillo has largely been out of the spotlight the last 2 or so years due to a stint in rehab that started back in June of 2013, 44 year old Morillo came out of his rehab stint better than ever and ready to take on the world…again.

Having been active in the music scene since the early 80’s, Morillo has dominated the dance music industry with tracks like “The New Anthem”, “Live Your Life” and “Devotion”. As a matter of fact his biggest hit is one you may not realize he was behind – Remember the early 90’s track “I Like To Move It?” That was Morillo, just going by the pseudonym Reel 2 Real. It wasn’t until 2004 that Morillo released an album under his real name. However in recent years fans started noticing a rather steep decline in Morillo’s health, citing numerous times where he had to be escorted and/or helped off stage mid-performance.

Now that he’s had a successful stint in rehab Morillo has been hitting the tour circuit with a vengeance with shows for Summer 2015 planned in Amsterdam, Finland, Ireland and, of course, Miami.
