Mikes Cigars Hosts an Ashton Cigars Event December 4th

 

     Mikes Cigars: In the cigar industry there are literally thousands upon thousands of brands to choose from, one of the great things about the industry if you ask me. Many brands have been around for generations and generations such as H. Upmann which has been around since 1844 and Arturo Fuente which was founded in 1912. And they aren’t the oldest either. On the other hand we have Ashton, a brand founded in 1985, making them somewhat of a “mature teen” in the cigar world. But that’s not to say they can’t compete with older or bigger brands. Davidoff didn’t come around until 1968. Montecristo? 1936.

Fast forward to 1993. Ah, the 90’s. What a wonderful time. And an even greater time to be a cigar enthusiast. Cigar Aficionado launched in 1993 and Ashton took out a half-page advertisement with their Uncompromising Quality idiom. Well, we’re going to go ahead and assume it was a success because they’re still here and better than ever. In 2008 Ashton Cigars was dubbed one of the “Top 5 Cigar Brands” in the world by Cigar Aficionado, a huge achievement in and of itself.

Now with their La Aroma de Cuba and San Cristobal lines of cigars along with Ashton’s signature sticks like the ESG and VSG, Ashton has certainly made its mark on the multi-billion dollar cigar market.

So what is one to do to enjoy and celebrate this heritage Ashton has created? Head to Mikes Cigars of course! On Thursday, December 4th Mikes Cigars will be hosting an Ashton Cigar event at their flagship Bay Harbor Islands location starting at 6pm. Engage in a friendly game of poker while you enjoy specials on Ashton cigars or head over to their massive 80″ TV to catch the Dallas Cowboys take on the Chicago Bears (kickoff is just after 8:30pm). Mikes Cigars also sports a beautiful bar where you can order your favorite wines and engage in a captivating conversation with other cigar lovers in attendance. And what cigar even would be complete without a domino tournament? Plus they’ll have Lucky Lucy Chocolates in the building so you can grab some of their mouthwatering chocolates to pair with your cigars. Free parking is available at the rear of the building.
