Zedd at STORY Miami November 7th
STORY Miami: Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last few years (literally) you are probably very aware of who Zedd is. The 25 year old Soviet Union born, German raised Anton Zaslavski, better known by his stage name Zedd, made quite a splash for himself back in 2009 when, shortly after his debut into producing electronic dance music, he won not one, but two remix contests that Beatport.com held. Coming out victorious in those two contests proved to be a pivotal moment for his career.
Acclaimed electronic and dubstep producer/DJ Skrillex soon caught wind of Zedd and signed him to his record label OWSLA. Soon thereafter Zedd found himself, and his talents, being commissioned to work on tracks for Diddy, Swedish House Mafia and Lady Gaga. Since becoming a mainstream star, Zedd has also been dubbed a must-see DJ at music festivals like TomorrowWorld, Ultra, EDC and Tomorrowland.
Zedd says his inspiration to become involved in electronic music was after seeing the French duo known as Justice (whom we absolutely love), so we’re glad Justice is & was around! The first half of 2014 was a busy one for Zedd, but over the last few months we’ve noticed he hasn’t released much new music. Even his website’s “News” section hasn’t had a new entry since April 11 of this year, so we hope this means he’s been hitting the studio big time to give us something new, and soon.
On Friday, November 7th catch Grammy award winning DJ & producer Zedd at STORY Miami! Although Zedd has been quiet on the new music front, he’s still making his rounds at the top venues around the country and, naturally, STORY Miami was one of them. STORY’s resident DJ Dave Sol will also be in the building. Tickets for the ladies are just $30 while tickets for the gentlemen are just $40, both of which can be purchased by CLICKING HERE. VIP more your style? No problem! Just contact VIP host David Gordon at 561-239-1200. A dress code will be enforced for this 21+ event. Doors open at 11pm.
