DJ Carnage at STORY Miami October 10th
STORY Miami: Born in 1991, Diamante Blackmon, better known as DJ Carnage, has recently taken the EDM scene by storm…literally. What catapulted Carnage to the top? His 2012 remix of Hardwell’s iconic track “Spaceman”. So what kind of DJ is Carnage? The kind that answers “I credit myself. I’m the one in the studio every night, by myself working, kicking myself in the ass until I make something good ya know?” when asked “What do you credit right now, besides yourself, for your success?” Talk about an in your face, straight-forward answer.
Carnage (partly) credits being raised in Guatemala for the first 7-8 years of his life with his now slight infatuation with what he calls American pop culture (although he was born in Washington D.C.). And we could certainly see the allure American celebrities, DJ’s and producers could have towards someone who didn’t get to experience that until later in life. Carnage however, unlike most newcomers (and we use that term loosely with him), doesn’t act like a newcomer. He showed up on the scene like he had been there the whole time and he backs that up with being relentless in the studio – crafting, molding, perfecting and releasing tracks that meet his exceedingly sky-scraping standards. That, we think, is ultimately what does (and has) drawn fans to DJ Carnage and will continue to do so for a long time coming.
Continuing to work on his goal “to die a legend” (which we hope isn’t for a long time), DJ Carnage will be taking over STORY Miami on Friday, October 10th along with DJ Dave Sol. Paris Blohm as well as Dzeko and Torres will also be in the building. Tickets for this event are just $30 for the ladies and $40 for the gentlemen and can be purchased by CLICKING HERE. For VIP information please contact STORY Miami VIP concierge David Gordon at 561-239-1200. This is a 21+ event and a dress code will be enforced. Doors open at 11pm.
