Markus Schulz at Mansion Nightclub September 13th

     Mansion Nightclub: Markus Schulz is a name that has been around for what seems like forever (not calling you old Markus). It feels like an eternity ago I was listening to Markus’s podcast the “Global DJ Podcast” and it was one of my favorites to listen to. He always seemed to be ahead of the game when it came to pushing the envelope and making new sounds that hadn’t previously been heard.

Fast forward to present day and Markus Schulz now calls Miami home and lives here with his wife, which leaves us wondering why we don’t see him in Miami clubs more often. But then we realize we can’t have him all to ourselves. But there is some big news coming out of the Schulz camp! Earlier this month while at SouthWest 4 in London, Schulz performed with Dutch DJ and producer Ferry Corsten and announced that the two are now a duo, calling themselves the New World Punx.

There’s a few reasons why this is a big deal, but I couldn’t help but notice one detail in particular: Schulz is 39 and Corsten is 40. As we’ve stated in previous articles, age doesn’t mean a damn thing to us when it comes to music. As a matter of fact, we’re more excited to see what becomes of the New World Punx because of their age. They have experience like no other, so when combined we just imagine a house music Godzilla type creature forming. And instead of destroying cities, they’ll be spreading their love for music. And that’s something we can all get on board with.

But with that exciting news out of the way, on Saturday, September 13th Markus Schulz will be back at Mansion Nightclub performing along with Laurent Simeca!
