Passion Nightclub: Australian musicians, songwriters and house music duo NERVO are, without question, one of the leading voices for women in the overwhelmingly male dominated electronic dance music world. They’re a breath of fresh air. New. Original. And not to mention beautiful. Back in March during Miami Music Week we had the distinct honor of meeting and chatting with sisters Miriam and Olivia Nervo as they played an absolutely killer set at the Avicii Hotel at the SLS Hotel in South Beach. It was, without a doubt, one of many memories we will forever hold near and dear to us. Talk about two insanely down to earth chicks! Our interaction with them solidified our love for them and truly showed how talented and amazing these two are.
2014 has been a great year for NERVO – they have officially surpassed 2 million fans on their Facebook page, released an amazing remix of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time and kicked off their new radio show on BBC Radio 1 titled “Residency. The sisters have indeed been busy in the first half of 2014. And one look at their current tour schedule would be enough to make anyone wonder how these two superstars do it. Their current tour will take them to Ibiza, South Korea for Ultra Music Festival, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Hungary, Switzerland and Belgium just to name a few. And of course, there are quite a few scheduled stops here in the U.S., including right here in South Florida.
On Saturday, June 21st NERVO will be performing at Passion Nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino after a stop in Orlando. The opening set will be performed by Jose Estrada and, for those few that aren’t crazy about house music or NERVO (you should probably go see a doctor about that), there will also be separate hip-hop and latin rooms playing their respective genres – with Power 96’s DJ KC Chopz in the hip-hop room and DJ Ishy in the Latin room.
