CW: What is your name?
My name is Daniela Albrecht
CW: Where are you from?
I was born in Cuba in the province of Matanzas, in a small village named Colon. I also have a German background.
CW: How old are you?
13
CW: What are the three words that describe you?
Caring, outgoing, social.
CW: Where did you study modeling?
I was training with John Casablanca’s and also received exclusive training from Alicia Faccio Modeling School.
CW: When did you get started in beauty pageants, and who or what motivated you to do it?
I started in pageants at age 11. I saw pageants on TV and I fell in love with them. When I did my first pageant, I just wanted to do more. I love seeing the beautiful and intelligent women in pageants and that inspires me.
CW: What title did you win recently, and what does it mean to you?
I won Miss South Florida Teen USA; I worked very hard to prepare for this competition mentally and physically. I had a good diet and worked out a lot. I also prepared mentally by focusing and thinking positive. I also practiced a lot of walking and talking in the way I was going to do it for the judges. Winning this title means the world to me.
CW: How many other girls were you competing against to win your title?
In my category I competed against four girls. They were all 15 to 17 years old and I was the youngest.
CW: What do you think made you stand out from the rest of the girls on the pageant?
My humble personality – I guess the judges saw it.
CW: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ten years from now, I see myself with a degree in Psychology. I would also like to open my own modeling and pageant academy; I want to prepare young girls to compete in pageants. And of course, pursue my # 1 dream of being Miss Universe.
CW: When you have a difficult moment in your life, who or what inspires you to keep going?
My Mom inspires me, but mostly my passion and those who love me. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.
CW: How do you balance school with your busy modeling career and beauty pageants?
They both have the same level of importance to me; I dedicate my time to both equally.
CW: What is your definition of beauty?
Beauty is being a role model to others, and being humble. By being beautiful inside, people see how beautiful you are on the outside.
CW: What is your favorite subject in school?
I love American History because I learn from the past. It’s interesting to see how America was formed.
CW: What skills would you like to learn?
I’d like to learn to speak German since I have a German background. If I go to Germany it would come in handy to know their language.
CW: What are the contributions of a beauty queen to the community?
It doesn’t just take beauty to be a beauty queen, it takes dedication. You must give back to your community and help others too. It is very important to do charity work and right now I am collecting toys for needy children for Christmas.
CW: Is there a difference between walking the runway for a fashion show than for a pageant?
On a fashion show I am a human hanger. All you do is walk with poise, trying to sell the designers clothes. In a pageant it’s all about you, your walk reflects your personality.
CW: What fashion magazines do you like to read?
Ocean Drive because most of the models are the most important models in the world.
CW: Give us a sense of your fashion style – What do you like to wear on a regular day?
I like to be comfy so I usually wear my grandpa’s big t-shirts.
CW: Who is your favorite fashion designer?
Prada. Their clothes are unique.
CW: How do you prepare before going to a photo-shoot? Is there something specific you do to do your best?
I always sleep 10 hours and I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.
CW: Is there a specific technique you learned that you think about when you are posing in front of the camera?
Always exhale! Relaxing your lips gives a sexy touch.
CW: What advice do you give to other young girls that want to model?
My advice will be to try it and do your best. But one important tip-stay humble.
CW: What is the best way to contact you for modeling jobs?
For bookings please contact Francheska Stone from Ethereal Management at 305-903-8381
