The Grammy awards is something most American households tune into every year. It’s the Super Bowl of the entertainment world. The Grammy’s are the only peer-presented award to honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position. Think of your favorite movie. Think of your favorite scene within that movie. Got it? Now imagine it without the music or soundtrack in that scene……
Suddenly your favorite scene isn’t as good is it? Yea we thought so.
The impact that music, soundtracks and special effects have in the movies we enjoy everyday is incredible and often under-appreciated. The Recording Academy’s mission statement is as follows: To positively impact the lives of musicians, industry members and our society at large. Horror movies wouldn’t be as scary without the creepy music in the background; Action movies wouldn’t be as exhilarating without that badass music in the background that amplifies the visual special effects; Romantic movies wouldn’t be as tear-jerking without the soundtrack in the background. Needless to say, movies wouldn’t be movies without The Recording Academy.
