     Waterfront livin’ and seafood nibblin’ That’s what the 2013 Coconut Grove Seafood Festival is all about. Taking place on Sunday, October 20th at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove (The same place Grovetoberfest Beer Festival is being held).

Not only will there be tons (literally) of seafood, but there are going to be dozens of vendors offering the seafood cooked in a multitude of ways including Jamaican, Caribbean, cajun and everything in between. Munch on Peruvian ceviche. Crack some fresh Florida stone crab. Snap into cajun New Orleans style shrimp. Sip North Eastern style clam chowder. You name it, it’ll be at the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival.

For all the families out there, don’t fret. The Coconut Grove Seafood Festival is family friendly. There will be a Family Fun Zone so the young one’s have a safe place to enjoy the festival as well. Any festival wouldn’t be complete without music, so there will be Calyspo style music, steel-drums and Jimmy Buffet inspired songs will make you feel like you’re on vacation in the Caribbean.

And what food festival would be complete without cooking workshops? The Coconut Grove Seafood Festival will have plenty of cooking workshops for everyone looking to spice up their cooking skills in the kitchen. After you’ve chowed down and learned some new recipes you can head on over to Grove Wharf, a farmer’s market all about seafood, where experts will be on hand to help them select the right items to purchase and take home and try out those recipes!
