***UPDATE***
Due to some unfortunate circumstances, the scheduled performer Sijing Ye has injured her hand and has been replaced by another Chinese piano prodigy, Rachel Cheung.
For all the visual and performing arts fanatics out there Sunday, February 3rd at 5pm at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center there will be an event just for you: Pianist prodigy Sijing Ye of China will be performing. Sijing Ye has plenty of notable awards under her belt including 1st place at the International Music Competition Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest and also at the Second Asian youth Music Competition Pianoforte Section, both in 2004, at the incredibly young age of 13. A year later she received first prize at the 69th Steinway and Sons International Children and Youth Piano competition and more recently in 2007, won the Academic Piano competition held at the Aspen Festival.
