Miami. Fashion. A perfect match. New York is dubbed the fashion capital of the east coast, but we beg to differ. We could write an encyclopedia on why we believe so, but we’re going to stick to the article. Fashion Designers Expo had it’s first show in Fall of 2007 and, 5 years later, it has blossomed into one of the premier fashion industry events for the emerging fashion community to showcase their upcoming fashions. Getting bigger and better with each passing year, this years Fashion Designers Expo will not be one to disappoint.
Taking place from Thursday October 18th to Saturday October 20th, Fashion Designers Expo highlights select designers each night then concludes on Saturday October 20th with the finale fashion show, which includes all the designers. FDE kicks off Thursday on the 2nd floor of Maker’s Shoes Showroom in Wynwood at 6pm and showcases Maker’s Shoes Spring 2013 collection and is hosted by celebrity stylist El Fashion Guru, who also hosted Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week earlier in 2012.
Friday nights event is at Style CTZN’s Boutique, right next to Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. At 7pm attendees will be getting a pre-grand opening sneak peek of boutique and FDE designers’ collections before the runway shows on Saturday night and will include complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. There will also be an after party at The Bank Miami.
The final night (Saturday October 20th) is the grand finale event and is held at SoHo Studios. The red carpet rolls out at 6 pm and the runway show doors open at 7pm with the fashion shows starting soon thereafter. Designers being featured include Miami native Christian Segui with his line of flirty yet sophisticated cocktail dresses and Joel Franklin & Co with his exquisite custom bow-ties along with many many more!
