PhilanthroFemmes: A group of professional women who have a desire to give back to their respective communities whether through volunteering at charity events, progressively coordinating with other organizations to plan community events or attending social functions that benefit non profit organizations. Bottom line: These are women that we should be proud to have in our community.
Well lucky for you, this event happens to be all three! On Friday, July 6th from 5pm to 8pm, the PhilanthroFemmes are hosting a Happy Hour at Blue Martini in Brickell to raise funds for The Debbie School at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The Debbie School’s mission is as follows:
“The Debbie Institute, a division of the Mailman Center for Child Development, is a center for early intervention research, training and service. For more than 30 years, the Debbie Institute has conducted research on problems impacting children with special needs, provided early intervention services for children and their families and provided training for university students interested in careers in special education, speech-language pathology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social work. Our mission is to nurture and enrich the lives of children during the critical years of early learning to create the strong foundation they need to flourish throughout life.”
No question this is a cause that we should all support. At this event you can enjoy complimentary appetizers and special discounted drink specials while enjoying the sounds of singer Montserrat Franco and guitarist Marco Linares. This is a 21 and up event with a dress code that is strictly enforced. Donations of any amount are encouraged and can be given at the door. So come on out, have a few drinks, listen to good music with friends and network all while raising money for a great cause!
